Appraisals for Charitable Donations
The IRS requires current proof of value for any gift to a charity or eligible museum. An I-VAN appraisal can be used to provide this proof of value.
The appraiser must complete and sign the appropriate IRS forms before you can take a tax deduction for your donation.
We have helped many donors with the correct paperwork to receive the proper tax deduction for vehicle donations to museums and charities.
Examples of Items we have Appraised where the IRS Gave a Tax Deduction
- Collector Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles, and Boats
- Newer Vehicles (for example, a donation to Salvation Army Auction)
- Collection of Maps
- Collection of License Plates
- Collection of Screw-on Hubcaps
- Collection of Radiator Mascots
- Collections of Literature
